St. Margaret Mary Parish has given the gift of Women’s Christ Renews His Parish retreats to over 700 women in the last 35 years. Those annual retreats, along with their prayerfully planned follow-up sessions, have aided in the spiritual growth of these women . Ask any woman who has made CRHP and they will tell you that the bonds of friendship and faith, created by CRHP, have sparked their growth in holiness.
In addition to the personal benefits of CRHP, our parish has benefitted by those making this retreat. Every ministry, committee, and commission consists of dedicated CRHP alumni who now generously contribute time and talents of all kinds to serve in the name of Christ Jesus.
Despite all the positive benefits of CRHP, this year’s 35th retreat will be the last for a while. With so many having made the CRHP retreat, it has become increasingly difficult to find additional folks interested in this spiritually enriching process. It is time to take a break from the format we have known.
While this year’s 35th retreat will be the last for the foreseeable future, spiritual growth opportunities will continue. All former CRHP women will be welcomed to renew their bonds of sisterhood by a series of quarterly Evenings of Reflection, beginning April 29th in the Upper Room (6:30-8:30 pm). The format of prayer, music, witness talks, silent and shared reflection will be a familiar one.
All other retreats offered at SMMP will continue….the Advent At-Home Retreat, the Winter Weekend Retreat, the Days of Quiet. May the yearning for a deeper connection with Christ, awakened in the CRHP Retreat, cause you to seek these additional spiritual growth opportunities.
