Business Manager

Michael joined the staff of St. Margaret Mary Parish in 1994. As the Business Manager, Mike oversees parish accounting and finances, property management, facilities utilization, personnel, and computers; he also supervises the church office and custodial functions. Mike says these are fulfilled in collaboration with our wonderful pastoral staff, our excellent office and custodial staff, and our many dedicated volunteer ministers. Mike works with the Administration Commission and the various committees within (Finance, Building, Scholarship, and Website). For Mike, linking these diverse areas is his role, usually in the background, to provide the means for quality ministry and to foster effective stewardship of our financial, physical, and human resources. Mike maintains a deep enthusiasm for the parish scene and for SMM in particular.

Mike formerly worked as a computer analyst for 11 years in the corporate sector. Throughout his years in the business world, Mike also served as a volunteer in various leadership roles at the parish, deanery, and archdiocesan levels. His experience as a volunteer gives him a deep appreciation and gratitude for the service of the many parishioners at SMM who donate their time and talent to the parish.

Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology, and a Masters degree in Pastoral Studies, both from Loyola University Chicago. He enjoys reading and listening to classical music. Mike lives in Oak Park, blessed with a wonderful wife, Domi, and two great sons, Thomas and David.
