Music Ministry

Liturgical Music is a vital ministry at St. Margaret Mary. Our musicians, cantors, and choirs enrich our experience of the Mass, to draw us more deeply into a "fully conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations" (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 14).

Lumen Gentium Choir (9:00 AM Sunday Mass)

Singers and instrumentalists are invited to join the Lumen Christi Choir, which sings all kinds of music, from the Faure Requiem, to the latest comtemporary music. In addition to the ministry of music, the choir has seasonal parties and social events. Some members make a limited commitment to sing just the Advent-Christmas season or the Easter season. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays evenings. Please call John Schlaman, Music Director, at the Parish Office, for more information.

Contemporary Choir (10:45 AM Sunday Mass)

The Contemporary Choir leads the congregation in song, enhancing the liturgical celebration with music. Weekly practices are held from fall through spring. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings. Please contact Brian Pelz, Contemporary Choir director, through the Parish Office.

Children's Choir (Monthly 5:00 P.M Saturday Masses)

The Children's Choir is for children in Third through Eighth grade. The choir leads the congregation in song, enhancing the liturgical celebration with music during the monthly Children's Masses and the Children's Christmas Mass. Weekly practices are held from fall through spring. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. Please contact John Schlaman, Children's Choir director, through the Parish Office.
