Liturgical Music is a vital ministry at St. Margaret Mary. Our musicians, cantors, and choirs enrich our experience of the Mass, to draw us more deeply into a
fully conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 14).
Singers and instrumentalists are invited to join the Lumen Christi choir. The choir repertoire bridges traditional and contemporary liturgical music genres. The choir sings weekend liturgies throughout the year except for the summer months (June-Aug). The choir does accept limited commitment members who join the choir during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 pm in the church. For more information, please contact John Schlaman, Director of Music Ministries, via the Parish Office.
The Contemporary Choir leads the congregation in song, enhancing the liturgical celebration with music. Weekly practices are held from fall through spring. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings. Please contact Brian Pelz, Contemporary Choir director, through the Parish Office.
